Functional Rehab/Mobility
Our doctors work one on one with their patients to build a program of corrective stretches and exercises specific to each patient’s individual needs in order to stabilize the joints and prevent the patients' complaints from returning again and again. Our customized rehab exercises are designed to complement in-office treatments, helping you strengthen key areas, improve mobility, and support long-term recovery. By incorporating these exercises into your routine, you can accelerate healing and maintain the results of your chiropractic care between visits.
Two of our favorite/most used rehab techniques are:
-
Dynamic Neuromuscular Stability (DNS) – an advanced rehabilitation approach based on the principles of developmental kinesiology. It focuses on restoring and optimizing the body’s natural movement patterns by retraining the brain and nervous system to properly stabilize muscles and joints. DNS emphasizes core stability and functional movement, helping patients regain proper motor control, balance, and posture.
By reactivating the deep stabilizing muscles, DNS improves coordination and reduces pain associated with dysfunctional movement patterns. This technique is especially effective in treating chronic pain, joint instability, and sports-related injuries, promoting long-term, sustainable recovery.
-
McKenzie Method - also known as Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT), is a comprehensive approach used to assess, treat, and prevent spine and extremity disorders. It focuses on empowering patients to actively participate in their recovery through specific exercises and self-care techniques, reducing the need for passive treatments. By evaluating how a patient’s pain responds to different movements or positions, the McKenzie Method helps identify the underlying mechanical issue.
This approach is particularly effective for conditions like back pain, sciatica, and neck pain, providing quick relief and long-term management. The goal is to restore normal function, improve mobility, and prevent future recurrences through education and personalized treatment plans.
Our goal is never to overwhelm you with MORE things to do rather give you 3-4 directed exercises that can be done easily to affectively improve your outcomes!
